Start lists are here. To ensure fairness, athletes have been assigned to their Open Race randomly. It is each athlete’s responsibility to be aware of which 5K Open Race they have been assigned to. Please study your start time carefully!

In the Open Heats, racers will run 5 laps around the 1 kilometer course taking you inside and around the Brooklyn Storehouse with twists and turns simulating a classic F1 track. In both the B and the Super Finals, racers will complete 3 laps.

The race begins with a series of 5K Open Races for all paces. Experience the energy of the race with over a thousand fellow runners and spectators.

• The top 70 finishers in each 5K Open Race advance to a 3K Final
• Places 1–35 move on to the Super Final
• Places 36–70 compete in the B Final

Super Final start order is based on 5K Open Race finish placement, starting grid style.

Running is (or at least can be) a team sport and in this vein the Bandit Grand Prix is introducing a team competition. Teams will be scored cross country style with a little twist...

• 6 total scorers per team (max 3 per gender; no limit to team size)
• Scoring counts across Super Finals and B Finals
• The lower each individual finishes, the better your team score
• Top 3 teams receive prize money
• First place team wins a special award

In the Super Final, athletes receive a point that correlates to their finish position (1st place = 1 point, 20th place = 20 points). In the B Final, athletes receive 1+100 points that correlates to their finish position (B Final 1st place = 101 points, B Final 20th place = 120 points).

If you don’t want to run the full 5K Open Race but still want to be part of the Bandit Grand Prix, we’ve got the event for you: the Team Relay—now added as a separate race on the schedule.

Teams of 4 athletes (maximum of 2 men) will compete against each other. Each team member will run one lap of the 1K course for a maximum race distance of 4K. Athlete order of participation is determined by each team captain, and the race will have a designated exchange zone for baton handoffs (batons provided on the day of the event). $80 team entry fee per team.

Bandit Grand Prix - Individual & Team Relay Early Bib Pickup

• Dates: Wednesday July 2nd & Thursday July 3rd
• Location: Bandit Greenpoint (37 Noble Street)
• Time: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm 

Bib pickup will be available for all 5k Open Racers & Team Relay Racers starting Wednesday July 2nd. Team Relay racers can pick up their team bibs for all team members who are officially registered. Each team member must officially register through the link provided by their captain.

Day of Bib Pickups

Athletes may pick up their bib at the Brooklyn Storehouse on race day starting at 12:00 pm. Athletes must pick up their bib at least 30 minutes before their Open Race.

As the rules go, if you're not racing, you're cheering. Spectators will bring the noise in what will already be an insane racing environment with the full power of the Brooklyn Storehouse's sound & lighting setup firing on all cylinders.

Athletes can use this link to view on-course race day photography. Photos will be added throughout the day and organized by race. All images will be uploaded by the morning of July 7.

The Bandit Grand Prix is located at the Brooklyn Storehouse inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard. All athletes and spectators must enter the Brooklyn Navy Yard through the Clymer Street / Kent Avenue gate. Once through the gate, follow signs and proceed a short distance to the Brooklyn Storehouse. Please note there is no public parking available inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard. 

Bag check will be available adjacent to bib pickup at the Brooklyn Storehouse. Once you check your bag you’ll have minimal access to it so please plan accordingly by changing into your race kit prior to checking your bag.
