Two teams, four checkpoints, 120 miles from the Bandit shop in Greenpoint to the Noah Hideout in Amagansett. Check out this glorious route.
Each team will have 7 runners (4 female-identifying runners per team) and a team driver with an unmarked van we rented from a not-at-all-sketchy parking lot at JFK. Each runner must complete three separate legs of their own choosing totaling 15-20 miles.
From start to finish, teams must hit four separate checkpoints at legendary small businesses and complete a different task at each (to be revealed day of the race). The checkpoints are:
1. Brothers
2. White Cap Fish Market
3. Slo Jacks Drive-In
4. Green Thumb Market
The first team to finish will have their names etched into the history books and stamped onto the 1st place trophy: The Seadog Life-Preserver Ring.
Tune in Friday on @banditrunning, @noahclothing, and @sporarts for live coverage of the race.

Ps. There are a few goals for this inaugural race, but the main one is to work out all the kinks with two controlled teams of experienced ultra-relay runners so we can open up the field to many more teams in the coming years.
