A word from Bandit Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer, Ardith Singh...
Training through the Winter season is arguably the most challenging time of year to push through. The darkness sets in earlier, the air cools; suddenly you can see your breath. Early mornings feel earlier.
Inspired by the internal motivation needed to push forward, I approached this collection through the lens of the build, the journey, the foundation that must be laid in order to continue the work. Evolution never stops.
Each moment layers on to the next, leaving an imprint of who you were, on to who you become—a beautiful and complicated collage. Finding inspiration in the work of Dutch textile artist, Maria Blaise, allowing movement to highlight the form and material used. Strong, curved shapes inform design lines, collars, and hems.
From a color perspective, the palette is grounded in earthy neutrals of rich olives, warm browns, and stormy greys, popped with icy cool hues-allowing levity in among the deeper tones.
