For fall, I was inspired by the intersection of culture and sport, kicked off by a collection of photos taken by Tom Johnson of Dharamsala’s Martyrs Tournament. For me, the idea of typically unexpected characters finding the joy in movement connect back to the idea of embracing the full experience of a runner; every version of themselves, each moment distorting the other as it layers on. People showing up as their full selves, bringing with them their experiences to a larger community-creating yet another layer.
Drawing inspiration from sculptors like Henry Moore and artist Ronan Bouroullec, sharp edges softening into dynamic curved shapes, informing graphic direction and typography. From a color perspective, the seemingly typical autumnal colors feel unique when paired with unexpected hues, creating an energetic color tension.
