In our collaboration with the Braves, we’ve pushed the boundaries of our product aesthetic by channeling the energy and spirit of a new city—Berlin. Drawing inspiration from the human form in motion, we designed this collection to celebrate the athlete, emphasizing the contours and musculature of the body.
This vision is reflected in both the solid pieces, which feature innovative high-contrast construction techniques, and our signature undulating body contour print that echoes movement.
The collection is anchored in a striking black and white palette—neutral yet bold—energized by fiery pops of red for an eye-catching contrast. Using the focused palette allows us to narrow in on the dynamic athleticism of the runner with Berlin’s edge. The high, linear contrast on the body was inspired by fashion designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Iris van Herpen.
A new signature logo was crafted for this collaboration, symbolizing the synergy between Braves and Bandit, as well as the connection between the two cities. The bold red ground is a backdrop for interlocking shapes that represent this fusion of identities, creating a powerful visual mark.
This was the first time we had made our Front Zip Race Crop in Cadence™, used contrast seaming, and designed our Onesie in a placed print. This of course presented new challenges that we overcome over multiple rounds of updates and iterations.
Similarly, this was our first performance tee that pieced both Vento™ and Drift™ fabrics together. And to add to the complexity, we finished the top with seamless contrast taping, a high-density logo patch, and a reflective wordmark (at center-back). The result was worth the effort.
