Libero (Instagram)
We just learned about this Canadian Men's lifestyle brand with Italian / European influences. For their latest collection, they created a fictional mob-run company called "Libero Sewer & Water Main", where the photography and video was taken from the perspective of a surveillance team. What we love most about this is not just how creative it is, but they clearly were scrappy in the production of it (low-budget, high-impact), and the longevity they got out of it (teaser, video, surveillance photos, "lay flat" photos - back of van). It lasted them weeks and that's a lot harder done than said.
The Crate
Legendary Far Rockaway streetwear brand, The Crate, just dropped their summer collection and it straight up OOZED authenticity. Usually brands rely on a teaser to drive maximum engagement on the drop of the real imagery on the following day(s), but The Crate said f*ck it and dropped an absolute bomb (that photo below on the left), and it worked -- getting thousands of likes and hundreds of comments. Their editorial shoot in front of the rocks screamed "Far Rock" and the way it translates on their website and into their pop-up was perfect. Another one done to perfection on a shoe-string budget. Hats-off.
Noah x Puma
This is one you've probably seen by now, but it's too good not to include...
Huge scale and production value, but it's so perfect and clever. If this dropped during the Super Bowl, I feel like people would lose their minds. Also, loved how they teased it out the week prior (below)... One of those risky posts where you're probably going to confuse people at firsts, but it'll allllll make sense later.
Greg Laboratory
Greg has quietly been behind some of the most interesting and influential performance sportswear projects in the past 10 years, which is why we were so excited when his own namesake project rolled out earlier this month (after presumably many, many months in the making). The creative is a supersonic world that's neither futuristic nor nostalgic, more-so an alternate and elevated universe. It's so well done and unique that it's hard to describe.
ASICS x Hal Studios
Hal Studios final shoe of their trilogy project with ASICS, the GEL-1130 MK III "GLACIER". Hal Studios nailed how to make a collaborative shoe stand apart from the evergreen collection of the footwear brand, without going overboard. This shoe is sick and we love the red pop and how it speaks to climbing with letting the shoe be the glacier. The freezer is a dope way to bring it to life in a pop-up space. Appreciating the simplicity and thoughtfulness of this collab.
