What a year. Here are 15 of our favorite moments & projects from 2023. Thank you all for the support and being a part of the Bandit community. Means the world. 2024 about to be a Criterion Collection classic.
1. The Unsponsored Project: Providing unbranded race kits to athletes chasing their dreams (and sponsorship deals) at USA’s in Eugene.
2. The Summer Collection with Rachel McArthur: Taking us out of the apartment and into the backroads of Greenpoint.
3. Joe Greer joins the Bandit squad: Coming on as both an athlete and a film photographer. Wrapping the Fall campaign here at Grand Street Campus for the final shoot of the year. Joe will be back next year for more campaigns and more racing.
4. Baby's first Boston: We found our way to Newbury Street for our first pop-up in Beantown and supported our friends during a drizzly Marathon Monday.
5. The Seadog 120 with Noah NYC: 12 athletes, 2 vans, 120 miles between the Bandit shop in Greenpoint and the Noah Hideout in Amagansett.
6. Go Together: The Fall campaign highlighting the subtle moments of community in marathon training.
7. The OTQ Program. Brendan Martin on his way to becoming the second member of our program supporting local athletes in their goal to qualify for the Olympic Trials. 9 total Bandit athletes have qualified and are heading to Orlando in February.
8. Malcolm Ebanks at TSP: Malcolm arrives fashionably late to the start of TSP Solo defining what it means to run your own race. Malcolm traversed 300+ miles through the desert from Santa Monica to Las Vegas.
9. Chicago—The City of Champions: Liv & Raj imbue the City of Champion spirit for the Chicago Marathon capsule in a remake of the goat’s home.
10. Bandit x NBRO: Our collaboration with our Copenhagen family, NBRO, for the CPH Half Marathon in September. Shot on film with members of the club at Superkilen Park.
11. Bandit R.C.: Our inaugural soccer-inspired running capsule & tournament at the world famous "The Ground" in the Lower East Side.
12. The NYC Marathon: Our Super Bowl weekend of the year celebrating the World's Marathon with a retro subway installation & shakeout run full of friends from around the world.
14. Our Brooklyn Mile Afterparty @ BK Backyard: This was something else. One of the best days of the year, no doubt. Run it back next year? Let us know...
15. Last Chance OTQ: Sending out a handful of Bandit team members & athletes to pace as many Olympic Trial hopeful as possible to the qualifying time. Brendan and Liam paced Duriel through 20 miles. He finished with 2 seconds to spare. Potentially the greatest video we'll ever have? Thanks, Kofuzi.
