Polartec® Waffle delivers superior breathability and moisture-wicking performance to keep skin dry and comfortable through changing conditions. This bi-component knit is engineered with two different polyester yarn sizes—larger yarns at the outer face pull moisture away from the body and disperse it across a wider surface area for rapid evaporation, while smaller yarns line the interior to maximize skin contact and draw sweat out faster. The result is a lofty open knit that actively cools in warm conditions, moving sweat through the fabric before it can accumulate, and resists the slow chill of a damp layer when temperatures drop. Because the wicking mechanism is built into the construction itself rather than applied on top of it, the performance never washes out.
