Shot for Shot is a friendly photographer face-off with set parameters. We talk about how we connected with an athletic event through the lens of photography and show how different styles can illustrate an event in unique ways.
The weekend of May 21 was a busy one for the racing and photography communities. With two back to back events, Trials of Miles hosted their Night at the Track at Icahn stadium and the RBC Brooklyn Half taking place less than 12 hours apart, our two in-house photogs had an idea - who can take the most compelling 5 shots from the weekend?
Jason Suarez: It's not a contest without shade. David's photos are solid, but I admit I pushed him around a bit.
David Hashim: TBH - I was just happy to be there. And then Jason literally tried to push me into the steeple pool.
Behold, the 5 shots from our inaugural Shot for Shot:
Set 1) Action
JS: These dudes were moving.
DH: These high school kids could not contain their excitement at the start line. It was awesome to see.
Set 2) Easy Likes.

Set 3) On the Course

DH: It's not a race unless someone's lost.
Set 4) Icahn Love

Set 5) Meta
