To be in Paris, shooting the SVG Olympic team kits, was a miracle in itself. I'll keep it brief: by the time we landed in The City of Love the project had spanned 3 weeks, 6 countries, and we haven't actually told Mr. Bossman how much money we spent. But, alas, we made it and were committed to doing right by our Olympic athletes. Since our they we're in other parts of the European Union doing pre-Olympic training, we needed to find another character for our video. 

We sent a hail mary message to Eight8Lines co-founder, Moussa Diallo. Eight8Lines is one of the dopest run club brands in the world right now. Based in Paris, but doing a ton of satellite work in Tokyo, they have an deep rooted community with insanely fire product drops, and really well done content. We caught up with Moussa after our trip, read below. Check out Eight8Lines! 

Before we get into your journey with Eight8Lines, let’s start at the beginning. Who are you? Where are you from? How has Moussa become Moussa? (Avant de commencer votre voyage avec Eight8Lines, commençons par le début. Qui es-tu? D'où venez-vous? Comment Moussa est-il devenu Moussa?)

Hey, I'm Moussa, 25 years old, I'm a creative based in Paris and a runner with my team 8Lines. I was born in Mali and arrived in France in 2004, I started athletics in 2019 and since then I have been fully into it. (Hey moi c’est moussa, 25 ans je suis un créatif basé à paris et un runner avec mon équipe 8Lines. Je suis née au Mali et je suis arrivée en France en 2004, j’ai commencé l'athlétisme en 2019 et depuis je suis à fond dedans.)

What's the origin story of Eight8Lines? (Quelle est l'histoire d'origine de Eight8Lines?)

8Lines was officially created in 2022 and officially in 2023, it's just 8 athletic friends who set up a running crew to promote and make running accessible to all. (8Lines a été créé officiellement en 2022 et officiellement en 2023 c’est juste 8 potes de l'athlétisme qui on monté un crew de run pour promouvoir et rendre le running accessible à tous.)

How would you describe the running scene in Paris? (Comment décririez-vous la scène running à Paris ?)

The running scene in Paris is incredible, we know how to welcome and above all there is good healthy competition between the crews. (La scène du running à paris est incroyable on sait accueillir et surtout il y a une bonne concurrence saine entre les crew.) 

What makes the Eight8Lines community unique to other clubs around the world? (Qu’est-ce qui différencie la communauté Eight8lines des autres clubs du monde entier?)

Energy and our community are what sets us apart. (L'énergie et notre communauté c’est cela qui nous différencie.)

What gets you most excited about Eight8lines? What are your future goals for the brand? (Qu’est-ce qui vous enthousiasme le plus concernant l’avenir d’Eight8Lines ? Quels sont vos futurs objectifs pour la marque?)

What excites me the most is the new encounters that via this project I think are a great strength for our project, the future to do full racing and humanitarian actions all over the world. (Ce qui m'enthousiasme le plus c’est les nouvelles rencontres que via ce projet je pense que c’est une grand force pour notre projet , les futurs faire plein course et des actions humanitaire partout dans le monde.) 

How’s your own running going? Any races coming up? (Comment se déroule votre course à pied ? Des courses à venir ?)

The next race I am preparing for is the marathon for all (the Olympic Games marathon open to all). (La prochaine course que je prépare est le marathon pour tous (le marathon des jeux olympiques ouvert à tous).)

When can we expect the next drop? We need one of those collared tops (Quand peut-on s’attendre à la prochaine baisse ? Il nous faut un de ces hauts à col…)  

Hahah. As soon as we reorder the swimsuit we'll send you one to New York, but the rest is going to be incredible. (Hahah. Dès qu'on relance une commande pour le maillot on vous envoie un a New York , mais la suite va être incroyable.)
