"Inside Ardith's Notes App" is a new and continuing series where we hack into Bandit Co-Founder & Chief Designer, Ardith Singh's, notes app to see what she's got cooking up.
-
This week's edition of Inside Ardith's Notes App uncovers Ardith's favorite looks from Paris Fashion Week. The fabrics, silhouettes, and ideas seen here end up coming through in our future products and collections.
THE ROW
Outerwear/Cozy layering at the row… Making neutrals interesting through layers of depth and texture:
ISABEL MARANT
Always love how she grounds something that could be considered “pretty” with edgier pieces (leather jacket, dramatic OTK boots). Also DYING FOR the strap across the foot…is it apart of the tight? The shoe? Who knows, but I love it.
Loewe
Always interesting details and proportions…loved the mélange neutrals off of the distorted, fuzzy trompe l'oeil prints.
GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
Cool-girl cutouts and lotssss of sheer (everyone had sheer!!!)
VICTORIA BECKHAM
This neckline is SOOOO STUNNING.
LANVIN
Loved loved the color tensions in this show! Burgundy with pops of pink, pine greens with acidic yellow and soft butter...
STELLA
Loved these proportions-still about the big pant *melting emoji*
DRIES VAN NOTEN
Loved this show, wish I was wearing this outfit daily…
Honorable mention in Milan:
MAX MARA
Chiiiiiicest neckline (saw lots of square neck iterations…👀) and more sheer neutral layers.
Honorable mention in London:
Burberry
Couldn’t ignore Daniel Lees debut, felt very fun, a fresh take on the heritage brand ….loved to see the “Queen Anne” style square neckline here in knit wear ✔️
*also LOVED the strong shoulders at Saint Laurent (the most), Gucci, Stella among others, but didn’t feel Bandit, so left it out….
LMK what you think!! DM me @itsme_ardith.
